Mr. Cooper's practice focuses on assisting foreign companies and investors with the legal aspects of establishing and maintaining business in the U.S., and particularly in the state of Florida. Mr. Cooper also assists international clients regarding U.S. immigration laws including helping clients secure business visas such as the L-1, E-1, E-2, H-1B and EB-5 business and investor visas as well as U.S. permanent residence. Mr. Cooper's articles have been published internationally. Mr. Cooper has lectured to business audiences in France regarding legal issues associated with setting up a U.S. company, investment or joint venture at seminars organized by the French government and French Business Chambers. Fluent in French, Mr. Cooper often counsels French clients on Florida and U.S. legal matters. Mr. Cooper also speaks Spanish and works with clients from Latin America and Spain. Mr. Cooper's clients come from countries throughout the world.
Activities and Memberships
Mr. Cooper is a member of the Florida Bar including the International Law Section and is also licensed in Florida state courts as well before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Mr. Cooper serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors and is an active member of the International Advisory Committee of the Beacon Council, the official economic development agency of Miami- Dade County. Mr. Cooper is Vice-President and serves on the Board of Directors of the French-American Chamber of Commerce of Florida. Mr. Cooper is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
